We’re excited to announce open auditions for our upcoming production of Shrek the Musical Show! While our leading roles of Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey have been cast, we’re looking for talented performers to bring the rest of the magical world of Shrek to life.
🎭 Audition Details
Dates: For the remainder of August, callbacks are on Saturdays from 9 AM-5 PM PST/12-8 PM EST. Starting September 1st, callbacks will be Monday-Saturday. Saturdays will still be from 9-5, while auditions during the week are 9 AM-7 PM PST/12-10 PM EST. And they are all on zoom.
What to Prepare:

Roles Available:
We have a variety of roles still open, including:
- Pinocchio / Dragon: This role requires a performer who can bring both the whimsical character of Pinocchio and the powerful presence of the Dragon to life. You’ll be featured in key musical numbers that showcase both characters’ distinctive traits.
- Dragon / Fairy Godmother: Another vital role that combines the grandeur of the Dragon with the magical charm of the Fairy Godmother. We’re looking for a versatile performer who can shift between these two engaging characters in song.
- Gingy / Dragon: This role features the spunky Gingy and the imposing Dragon. We need a performer who can convey the humor of Gingy and the dramatic flair of the Dragon in their musical performances.
- Lord Farquaad: This role, while primarily comedic, includes significant musical elements. We’re seeking a performer with strong vocal skills and a commanding stage presence.
- Ensemble: The ensemble will play a crucial role in supporting the main characters and bringing the vibrant world of Shrek to life. Strong vocal abilities and stage presence are essential.

- Know the Show: Familiarize yourself with Shrek the Musical, particularly the ensemble numbers and the remaining characters. Understanding the tone and style of the show will help you give a standout audition.
What to Expect:
Auditions will be relaxed and supportive. We want to see your unique take on these roles, so don’t be afraid to show your personality and creativity. Whether you’re an experienced performer or new to the stage, we’re excited to see what you bring to the world of Shrek. Please note that we have a role for everyone, even if it is not the role you initially audition for.
